Made in France, Jade L'Opera Rosin is a new refined formulation with remarkable qualities of dust-free adhesion. This rosin avoids metallic residues, which do not contribute to adhesion and may indeed scratch fine varnishes. The result is a highly refined rosin that produces a smooth yet firm grip. The sound of the Rosin is great, but it does create a lot of dust when playing forte or even mezzo forte.

I loved this rosin, really I did. Very little dust, great tackyness and produces a wonderful sound. The only problem is that it's *fragile* After just a semester of use, I've barely gotten the top layer off the cake, but the whole thing is cracking and falling apart! It's like it's made of sugar. Since I was the concert master for my highschool orchestra, my tuner and rosin became a class resource. It may be that one of them dropped it and neglected to tell me, so if you do buy guard it with your life. It is worth the price, but only if it's kept in a condition to use it.
